The Quiet Healing power of our Pets

19/02/2026

For many of us, pets are far more than companions—they are family. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), published author, and multi-state licensed clinician, I have seen firsthand how the bond between humans and animals can offer comfort, stability, and healing during life's most difficult moments.

As a devoted dog owner, this connection is not only clinical for me—it is deeply personal. For individuals living with PTSD, anxiety, or trauma-related conditions, psychiatric service or emotional support animals can play a meaningful role in emotional regulation and overall well-being. Their presence often provides grounding, routine, and a sense of safety that supports the therapeutic process.

My work includes compassionate, ethical evaluations to determine who clinically qualifies for a PTSD or psychiatric service animal letter.

I am committed to supporting pet owners with care, integrity, and respect—honoring both mental health needs and the extraordinary healing role animals play in our lives.
